The Wauzeka Area Veteran’s Memorial

The residents of Wauzeka Wisconsin are proud of the contribution made by it’s service men and women. This great country of ours would have undoubtedly never been know as the “Land of the Free” and the “Home of the Brave” with out them.

To help honor these brave men and women a committee has been formed to raise the funds necessary to complete a Wauzeka Area Veterans Memorial.

The location of the memorial is between the shelter house and the tennis courts in Wauzeka’s Riverside Park. This location is perfect for this memorial for many reasons.
1. There is a new shelter house near the memorial site for visitors to use when attending celebrations or just visiting the memorial.
2. The scenery just couldn’t be any better. When approaching the memorial from the street, the Kickapoo River and the river way woodlands provide a beautiful natural backdrop for this one of a kind tribute to our Area Veterans.
3. There is plenty of parking along the street and in a nearby parking lot to accommodate large groups of visitors all at one time.
4.  Last but not least is the fact that a reduced speed street passes right in front of this site so that during inclement weather or for those with disabilities the memorial can easily be viewed from the seat of a car.

Your help is desperately needed to help make this project a reality. A design created by: Eternal Art Monument Company of Boscobel has been approved, a scale model of the memorial has been created and fund raising in underway.

Please take the time to view other pages on this site and contact any one of the committee members listed on the contact page with questions. We appreciate all the you can do and look forward to sharing with you the joys
of having competed this very worthwhile project.
